As we rest on Labor Day, we are invited to rest the mind a bit as well. In Unity, significant emphasis is placed on managing the mind for a better life experience.

However, in this lesson, RevAna will explore how our spiritual labor ought to be anchored in bridging the distance between our minds and hearts because the more we do, the more we will be in alignment with the Divine plan for our lives.

Howard Thurman wrote, “The religion of Jesus makes the love-ethic central.” How do we live this consciousness in today’s world?

The concept of “center” has many connotations. In times of challenge, the question is sometimes asked, “Can the center hold?”

That’s our topic for spiritual exploration this Sunday at Unity of Fairfax.

In answering this question, a “new” concept of prayer may be required, as well as a complete overhaul of not only our understanding of God but our beliefs about ourselves.

There are so many areas in our lives that we must manage, and sometimes it becomes a little overwhelming.
